We are an Electrical Engineering firm located in Caledonia, Ontario, Caledonia is a beautiful small town located just south of Hamilton along Highway 6.

We are seeking applications for the following positions:

Role: Bookkeeper -Contract Position (1 Year)

Applicants must meet the following minimum standards:

  • Able to communicate fluently in English, orally and written
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel

The candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Good organizational skills

Responsibilities would include:

  • Preparing and sending client invoices
  • Preparing payroll
  • Tabulating expenses
  • Preparing HST and WSIB submissions
  • Tracking accounts receivable and accounts payable and sending client statements
  • Duties as assigned

No experience in bookkeeping is necessary. We will train the successful candidate. This is a 1-year contract position that would start in August 2024.

Role: Electrical Designer

Applicants must meet the following minimum standards:

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in electrical design related to building services including; power, lighting, communications, life safety (exit signage, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems).
  • Must hold valid Ontario Driver’s License.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English, orally and written.

The candidate will have the following skills:

  • Working knowledge of National, Provincial and local building and electrical Codes and Standards.
  • Strong oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to deal effectively with the design team to resolve project related issues.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Works well under tight schedules.
  • Good organizational skills and able to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Experience dealing with various clients.
  • Able to prepare tender design packages (specifications, drawings and bid documents) that will meet industry standards and good engineering practice.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Prepare technical documents including: electrical drawings, technical specifications and contract documents, relating to building electrical systems.
  • Visit construction/plant sites during design and construction phase as required.
  • Review contractor submissions and vendor drawings.
  • During construction of electrical installations, respond to queries, attend site meetings and performing site reviews and prepare reports.
